Designer Bag- Oxford with Silk


Oxford design is a basket shaped tote bag ideal for shopping trips or a visit to the beach or just for carrying those everyday essentials. The strong straps are just the right length to slip over your shoulder or hold in the hand.

This version is made using Royal Blue Canvas type fabric with large external pocket featuring a  beautiful piece of hand painted silk in shades of blue and cerise with black accents signed by the artist (see detail below). It is lined with white fabric and has an internal pocket with velcro closure.

he fabric used in my bags is a waste product from the soft furnishing trade, much better to make a useful bag than put it in landfill. For this reason most of my bags are made in very limited quantities so you are unlikely to see someone else wearing one; as this one features a silk painting it is definately a one off.

Each bag is individually made with care and attention to detail. Every seam is double, sometimes triple stitched for strength. It is lined and stiffened where needed to keep its wonderful shape.
